One of the Panther dominated clubs, Science Olympiad has for many years been a major asset to the reputation of Kennedy. It has in the past been run by Mrs. Croco and Mrs. Potilechio, Mrs. Hollander and Ms. Atiq, and is currently run by Mrs. Piekarz and Mr. Glasby, an eighth grade science teacher at Lincoln.
Scioly is, or is supposed to be, a very competitive club where only the top members of the school, and really the district contend with each other for 32 spots in total, 15 for Varsity, 15 for Junior Varsity, and 2 alternates/managers. In the past, there was a "no 8th grader allowed on J.V." policy, though it has been done away with this year.
Our main rival is Mary Murphy, and must beat them at all costs, even though they have 10 to the 385 amount of coaches that we have. Our team is extremely self run, and though at times we mess around during practice, we usually come out on top.
